Review of EBook Edit Pro
Compiler

EBook Edit Pro
EBook Edit Pro compiler wizard easily guides you step-by-step
through the creation of your eBook, it even includes user-friendly
tab sheets for advanced users (which allow you to go back and edit
any information before you compile your eBook... very handy!)
You will have your name or company name inside each ebook as
the licensee which may deter some people from distributing
your eBooks without your permission.
eBook Edit Pro allows you to create multimedia enhanced eBooks
including support for Shockwave, Flash, Java and the HTML 4
browser platform with plug-ins. You can even include CGI
scripts which would allow you to have people subscribe to your
newsletter right from the eBook using form-mail.
What sets this eBook compiler apart from others in its price
range are the little extras not found in many other compilers
such as the ability to allow a time trial of your eBook for a
set number of days. According to the owner, Michele Watson,
another useful feature not found in many lower end compilers
include "Icon Customization" which allows you to use your own icon or
select from predefined categories of icons to make your eBook
stand out from the rest. She has also recently added other useful
features such as no temp extraction which utilizes encryption
technology to secure your HTML code & images from prying eyes.
Allow readers to resize the compiled eBook to their preferred size. There is an additional feature that protects your source code -- disable the right-click of mouse on compiled eBooks to safeguard your work!
Overall, I highly recommend this compiler since it is a tremendous
value for its price, has a huge range of flexibility and features,
and is very easy to use (not to mention the excellent customer
service from Michele!)
The only disadvantage I could find was that the reader must have
Windows 95/98 and Internet Explorer 4+ installed.
